In September 2009, I first arrived in Ningbo, my first job is English teacher. Teaching English is considered by many expatriates as a career transfer station for “soft landing” in China. When you first arrive, you can get the necessary support from your school. In fact, I am an artist who has her own career plan. The second floor of the apartment is my studio, where I insist on creation. Last year, I held solo exhibitions in Shanghai and Ningbo separately and received various supports and encouragements. In this way, I completed the professional conversion from teacher to painter. Now, as a full-time painter, I am increasing my income through commercial design. I was designing furniture for a local company recently. Although it took me a lot of inspiration, a happy customer satisfaction always gave me a great sense of accomplishment.
