1954年7月22日,胡风通过国务院文教委员会主任习仲勋转呈党中央的材料共有两件,一件是“给中央的报告”,题目是《关于解放以来的文艺实践情况的报告》(俗称“三十万言书”,以下简称为“报告”);另一件是“给党中央的信”(以下简称“信”),信首注明“习仲勋同志转中央政治局、毛主席、刘副主席、周总理”,内容足对“报告”动机、目的和要点的提纲挈领的说明。“信”仅见于近年出版的《胡风全集》,过去未曾公开发表过[1],因此也从未引起过研究者们的注意。
