随着大学英语课程改革的不断推进和深入,大学英语的教学手段以及教学方式等都在发生着巨大的变化,而自主学习作为一种新的教学管理手段和理念也逐渐被引入到英语日常教学过程中,并取得了相应的实践效果。但是,随着高校扩招人数的逐年递增,原来日趋小班化的英语教学的课堂环境再次被打破,大班英语教学仍旧存在,再加上高校学习环境以及资源优势不明显等因素的影响,使得英语教学改革受到了严重的阻碍。而社会对于英语应用型人才的需求却是只增不减,在这种背景下,对于外语自主学习模式下的大学英语教学进行研究和分析具有重要的现实意义。
