The seventh excavation of Jiahu site was undertook by Science and Technology University of China and Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in 2001 and a number of features such as house foundations,pits,kilns and tombs have been discovered By using the flotation method,a large amount of rice grains and other faunal and floral remains have been collected and thus provided important materials for the reconstruction of subsistence,environment and behavior patterns of the Jiahu people
