The IEEE-488 interface bus is a common standard parallel interface for connecting computers to external devices and instruments. It requires the connected instruments to have an interface of the EEEE-488 standard. This article discusses how to interface with non-IEEE-488 instrument interfaces. First of all, to study non-standard instrument interface, find out its similarities and differences with the IEEE-488 standard. If necessary, the interface plug wire end of the instrument should be rewired so that the wire end whose main signal line function is consistent with the IEEE-488 requirements is in the position corresponding to the wire end of the IEEE-488 socket, and incompatible functions are not required.
