[Objective] To understand the incidence, the composition of death and the change of infectious diseases of Class B in Yun County from 1996 to 2009, and provide a scientific basis for making prevention and control measures. [Methods] The annual report of legal infectious diseases in Yun County from 1996 to 2009 was analyzed descriptively. [Results] A total of 16 kinds of B infectious diseases were reported, with a total of 16,056 cases and 23 deaths. The average reported incidence of Type B infectious diseases was 185.12 / 100,000 and the death rate was 0.27 / 100,000. In the past 14 years, the incidence of intestinal infectious diseases in Yun County has been on the decline. The number of reported cases of blood-borne and sexually transmitted infections is on the rise. The main reason is the high incidence of hepatitis B reported . The number of respiratory infectious diseases remained at a relatively high level, mainly due to an increase in the number of pulmonary tuberculosis reported cases. Syphilis, malaria and other epidemics that had been controlled or eliminated had a faster recovery. [Conclusion] The incidence of Category B infectious diseases in Yun County generally shows an upward trend in 14 years. Hepatitis B and tuberculosis are the major infectious diseases that affect the reported incidence in Yun County, followed by gonorrhea and syphilis. In the future, the focus of infectious disease prevention and control should be placed on rural areas. The key prevention and control targets are peasants and students. At the same time, efforts should be made to intensify the prevention and control of communicable diseases among floating population.
