关于张奚若,有两件轶事显然是会传之久远的。一件是在抗日战争时期,他曾以文化团体代表的身分,被遴选为国民参政会参政员。据说大约是在一九四一年的一次会议上,他尖锐地批评了国民党的腐败和蒋介石的独裁。蒋听不下去,就插话说:“欢迎提意见,但不要太刻薄!”他一怒之下便拂袖而去。下次再开会时,他接到会议的通知和往返的路费后,当即回一电报:“无政可议路费退回”,从此再没有出席国民参政会(《张奚若文集》第15页,下引该书只标页
Zhang Xi if there are two anecdotes apparently will be passed away. One was that during the Anti-Japanese War, he had been selected as a member of the National People’s Political Council in his capacity as a representative of a cultural group. It is said that at a conference in about 1941, he sharply criticized the Kuomintang’s corruption and Chiang Kai-shek’s dictatorship. Jiang could not hesitate to intervene and said: “Welcome comments, but not too harsh!” He flushed away in fury. When the next meeting, he received a notice of the meeting and travel back and forth, immediately after a telegram: “no political fees returned”, and then never attended the National Political Council (“Zhang Xi Ruo anthology” on page 15, cited under The book only pages
