1992年7月,成都市文物考古工作队会同新都县文物管理所,为配合新都电缆厂扩建工程进行文物勘探,发现一处商代遗址。此遗址地处新都县城南桂林乡五四村四组,北及新太公路,南依锦水河支流饮马河,西靠成德大件路,东邻成都锦江油嘴油泵厂(图一)。其范围约东西长300、南北宽250米,总面积达75000平方米以上。新都桂林乡商代遗址的发掘共进行两次,揭露面积325平方米。第一次在1992年7～8月,开5×5米探方8个,2×10米探沟
July 1992, Chengdu City Cultural Relics and Archeology Task Force together with the Xindu County Cultural Relics Management Office, in line with the Xindu Cable Factory expansion project for cultural relics exploration and found a Shang Dynasty site. This site is located in Xindu County, South Guilin Township, Wusi Village, four groups, north and the new Pacific Highway, according to the south Jinshuihe tributary of Yinma River, west of Chengde large road, east of Chengdu Jinjiang oil nozzle pump plant ). Its range of about 300 things long, 250 meters wide from north to south, with a total area of 75,000 square meters and above. Excavations of Guixin Township, Xindu, a total of twice, exposing an area of 325 square meters. For the first time, from July to August 1992, there were 8 exploration sites of 5 × 5 meters and 2 × 10 meters of exploration ditches
