Time flies, an instant, in 2006 has become the past. Looking back at what happened this year, our mood is hard to calm. The 11th Five-Year Plan is in the first year of implementation. The construction of a harmonious society and new countryside is in full swing. The China-Africa Cooperation Forum was held successfully. The transition period of the fifth anniversary of China’s accession to WTO was over. The agricultural tax was canceled throughout the country. The Qinghai-Tibet Railway was officially opened. These events have caused us to have a lot of ups and downs. We are worried about the continued high temperatures in Chongqing and the destroying of the environment by the film and television crew such as Promise. The ongoing mining accidents and the food safety related issues such as red duck, duck fish and so on have caused us worries. One by one or make people laugh or sad events, formed the ebb and flow of 2006. Here, as China’s first comprehensive national green periodical, China Green has comprehensively sorted out these incidents and brought together ten readers who are most concerned about by the entire nation. We hope that readers from these events will feel a green China that has always been tenaciously growing up despite its heavy historical burden.
