海东地区位于青海省东北部,总面积13496平方公里,辖6县、94个乡镇,总人口150多万人,其中农村人口占86.54%。2008年,海东地区农业总产值达39.20亿元,是典型的“小城镇,大农业”经济模式。针对这一特点,作为当地通信的主导运营商,中国电信青海海东分公司秉承既要发展、又要履行社会责任的原则,摸索出一条具有海东特色的新农村信息化建设发展之路。
Haidong region is located in northeastern Qinghai Province, with a total area of 13,496 square kilometers, administer 6 counties, 94 towns and villages, with a total population of more than 1.5 million people, of which rural population accounts for 86.54%. In 2008, the gross output value of agriculture in Haidong reached 3.92 billion yuan, a typical economic model of “small towns and large-scale agriculture”. In response to this feature, as the leading operator of local communications, China Telecom Qinghai Haidong Branch upholds the principle of both development and social responsibility, and explores a road of development and development of new rural informatization with Haidong features.
