“在500强企业中,涉及棉纺织生产的企业有166家,占整个500强的1/3。”当“2007～2008年度中国纺织服装企业竞争力500强”榜单摆在中国纺织工业协会副会长、中国棉纺织行业协会会长徐文英面前时,他把涉及棉纺织行业的企业一一地数了出来。“在行业当前面临如此困难的形势下,能有这么多棉纺织企业上榜实属不易。”这是他在接受《纺织服装周刊》采访时说的第一句话。徐文英的感慨是有道理的,他解释说,棉纺织业是纺织行业的粗加工产业,是我国纺织行业重要的基础性产业。
