According to the report of the American Electronics Industry Association, the total sales volume of the world electronics market in 1987 was estimated at 413 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 7% from 386 billion U.S. dollars in 1986. It is estimated that in 1990 the total sales volume of the world electronics market will reach 500 billion US dollars, with an average annual growth rate of 6.6%.
