Fluorescence was used to determine the serotonin levels in brain tissue of Wister rats living at 4500m above sea level, 3600m plateau and rabbits living in Beijing. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the content of serotonin in the two rabbits with altitude difference of 900m, and there was no significant difference in the content of serotonin between the two and Wistar rat (P> 0.05). The results suggest that chronic hypoxia There was no effect on the metabolism of serotonin in rat and rabbit brain. It may be the result of natural selection through generations. As a result, cerebral hamartin maintains its own rate-limiting steps in the hypoxic environment of brain serotonin metabolism. Maintain the relatively stable environment. This may be one of the adaptation mechanisms of the rabbit.
