地理标志是重要的知识产权,具有打造特色品牌、推动区域发展、带动农民增收、促进文化交流等重要作用。据统计,我国地理标志对就业、居民增收和经济发展的综合贡献率和影响程度超过30%。中国是地理标志产品资源大国,地理标志产品在国际社会也有不少被假冒或抢注的案例,比如“镇江香醋”2010年险些在韩国被抢注,在国家工商总局的积极协调斡旋下,韩国特许厅撤销了韩国人申请的“镇江香醋”商标。而“天津甘栗”作为我国的地理标志产品, Geographical indications are important intellectual property rights and have the important role of building distinctive brands, promoting regional development, boosting farmers’ incomes and promoting cultural exchanges. According to statistics, the comprehensive contribution rate and impact of geographical indications to employment, residents’ income and economic development in China have exceeded 30%. China is a big country of geographical indication product resources. There are also many cases of geographical indication products being faked or registered in the international community. For example, “Zhenjiang Balsamic Vinegar” was almost registered in Korea in 2010 and was actively coordinated and facilitated by SAIC Under the Korean Patent Office to withdraw the application of Korean “Zhenjiang vinegar ” trademark.
