虾夷扇贝属软体动物门,瓣鳃纲,翼形亚纲,珍珠贝目,扇贝科,虾夷扇贝属。虾夷扇贝为冷水性贝类,原主要产于日本、前苏联千岛群岛的南部水域,日本北海道及本洲北部,分布于底质坚硬,淤沙少和水深不超过40m的沿岸海区,正常生活水温为5~23℃。90年代初,我国开始引进虾夷扇贝在山东、辽宁等沿海进行人工试养,经过10多年发展,虾夷扇贝目前已成为我国北方海水养殖主要品种之一,年产值达到50多亿元。现就虾夷扇贝筏式养殖主要技术介绍如下:
