The “History of Modern Chinese Drama” edited by Professor Chen Baichen and Dong Jian of Nanjing University won the Grand Prize in the selection of the 2nd National Excellent Teaching Materials for Colleges and Universities (1986 ~ 1989) held in October 1992. The book is the first Chinese history of modern drama history since the founding of the PRC, is one of the national key research projects.
