Ferricyanide can precipitate with many metal ions, but it is a pity that precipitation composition often changes with experimental conditions, thus limiting the widespread application of this type of precipitation reaction in analytical chemistry. After a comparative study of a large number of literature data, we know that the pH of the solution and the presence of so-called “inert electrolytes” such as sodium chloride, potassium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, etc. have a significant effect on the composition of the precipitate.
