常熟纺织工业已有近90年的历史。经过多年的建设和发展,已经形成棉纺织、色织、印染、针织夏制、毛纺织、化纤、丝织、服装和纺机纺器等九大生产门类。进入“八五”期间,全行业切实把经济增长的立足点放在对现有企业的技术改造和加快技术进步上,并着力于自主创新,促使经济运行质量不断提高。经过“八五”技改,仅市属企业的固定资产原值就由“七五”末的2.01亿元,增到7.4亿元,递增267％。 Changshu textile industry has a history of nearly 90 years. After years of construction and development, nine categories of cotton textiles, yarn dyeing, printing and dyeing, knitting summer systems, wool textiles, chemical fiber, silk weaving, garments, and textile spinning machines have been formed. During the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period, the entire industry has effectively placed its economic growth on the technological transformation of existing enterprises and accelerated technological progress. It has also focused on independent innovation and promoted continuous improvement in the quality of economic operations. After the “8th Five-Year Plan” technical reform, only the original value of fixed assets of municipal enterprises increased from 201 million yuan at the end of the “July 5th” period to 740 million yuan, an increase of 267%.
