应中国美协邀请,由日本美术评论家联盟和日中文化交流协会组派的日本美术评论家代表团一行七人,在团长铃木进(东京都庭园美术馆馆长)率领下,于1990年11月16—29日访问了北京、西安、上海等地,与我国美术家就共同关心的问题进行了座谈。席间日方屡次谈及日本近代美术史上的一段“弯路”,并表示希望中国美术家在现代化的进程中寻求一条捷径
