At present, Japan’s Yahata Steel Co., Ltd. produces seven basic oxygen blowing furnaces with an annual output of more than 3.8 million tons of ingot, which is about 50% of the total output of the company’s ingot. The company’s Dong Gang L-D factory and Hokkien first L-D factory are equipped with waste heat boilers and wet dust collectors, which were in September 1957 and September 1959, respectively. However, both of these devices are large and require tall and large plants, thus inevitably increasing their capital investment. According to normal operation method, the gas with high CO generated in the converter is burnt by the air entering from the top of the furnace mouth and the secondary air blown in. The waste heat is recovered from the waste heat boiler, allowing it to cool down
