There are many common components in peony bark and peony, and the effects of these components on Na+ and K~-activated cell membrane enzymes Na~+ and K~+-ATPase have been studied. The purpose of this study was to find out the inhibitory mechanism of 1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-acyl-β-D-glucose (PGG), which is believed to have strong activity, to change the concentration of stroma and Na~+ and K~+.
