近代中国基督教大学在数十年的发展历程中,其学科设置有一个演变过程。本文以华中大学为考察个案,探寻其各个时期的学科设置情况,并从中分析华中大学学科设置的特点以及所映照的教育理念。以此可以看出,中国近代基督教大学普遍经历了一个从最初为教会服务,到逐渐把自身看作中国社会的一部分,并自觉地承担起知识创新、社会服务和政治参与等责任的历史过程。
In the course of decades of development, the Christian universities in modern China have an evolutionary course of their discipline. In this paper, Huazhong University as a case study to explore its various periods of discipline setting, and from the analysis of Huazhong University, the characteristics of setting and reflected by the concept of education. It can be seen from this that the modern Christian universities in China have generally experienced a historical process of serving the church from the beginning, gradually recognizing itself as a part of Chinese society, and consciously assuming the responsibility of knowledge innovation, social services and political participation.
