肿瘤组织中存在数量稀少的癌细胞,在肿瘤形成过程中充当干细胞的角色,具有自我更新、增殖和分化的潜能,虽然数量少,却在肿瘤的发生、发展、复发和转移中起着重要作用,由于其众多性质与干细胞相似,这些细胞被称为肿瘤干细胞(TSC)。基于TSC的研究进展,进一步推动了对TSC的各种生物学行为的分子机制的探索,为重新认识肿瘤的起源和本质,以及肿瘤临床治疗提供了新的方向。
The existence of a small number of cancer cells in tumor tissue, which act as a stem cell in the process of tumor formation, has the potential of self-renewal, proliferation and differentiation. Although its quantity is small, it plays an important role in tumorigenesis, development, recurrence and metastasis These cells are called tumor stem cells (TSCs) because of their multitude of properties that are similar to stem cells. Based on the research progress of TSC, the exploration of the molecular mechanism of various biological behaviors of TSC is further promoted, which provides a new direction for re-understanding the origin and essence of tumors and the clinical treatment of tumors.
