今年6月上旬以来,湖南连续出现强降雨过程,湘、资、沅、澧四水流域和洞庭湖区间平均降雨量达到100毫米以上,最高达到330毫米,城陵矶超历史同期最高水位,比1998年同期高1.33米。全省12个市（州）80个县（市、区）1129乡镇1034.9万人受灾,洪灾直接经济损失76亿元。在全省遭受大面积洪涝灾害的情况下,由于中国人保湖南省分公司准备充分,措施到位,全省系统保险财产赔款金额预期可降到最低程度,控制在1500万元左右,大大低于1996年4.27亿元、1998年3.06亿元洪灾赔款。
