投球手的“鞭打”素质（投物时手臂挥动抛物动作叫鞭打动作，鞭打动作奸坏由鞭打素质反映）是衡量运动员的重要参量．而球体的出手速度是反映这种素质的重要指标．本文介绍了一种测量出手速度的仪器．该仪器利用光敏元件组成的光敏列阵传感系统，将投掷球出手后经过光平面的时间转换成电讯量，经“直径代最大弦长”后输入计算机处理并由计算机打印出最终结果，实现了快速启动检测与记录．
