铝土矿为贵州主要优势矿产之一,但对贵州黔南地区铝土矿成矿条件,多数观点认为该区成矿条件相对较差,通讯作者等人通过对野外实地工作,采用地质、物探、钻探等综合勘查手段对该区的瓮安复向斜岩相古地理特征进行研究分析,将该区从北往南划分为并对该区古沉积环境进行初步研究发现,该区瓮安一带泻湖相区古岩溶漏斗对铝土矿厚度存在明显的正相关关系,福泉一带庐山深湖相区边缘成矿条件也较为有利,最终通过钻探证实,其特征与研究预测相一致,实现了该区铝土矿的重大突破。
