为提高全省交通管理宣传干部的业务水平，更好地为交通管理工作服务，3月12日至18日，总队在合肥市举办了全省交通管理宣传干部培训班，来自全省各市、县的100多名宣传民警参加了培训。在7天的时间里，学员们学习了安徽大学新闻系知名教授讲授的新闻理论、新闻消息、通讯写作等方面的理论知识，聆听了《人民公安报》、《安徽日报》等新闻单位资深记者介绍的新闻写作经验，普遍感到受益匪浅。为培养学员们的实战技能，培训班还专门安排了半天时间让学员们动手写作，他们或深入合肥街头实地采访报道，或写本地交通管理工作的先进经验和存在问题，不少稿件质量具有较高的水平，但由于版面的限制，仅择其中几篇予以登载。
