Notch and Ras signals are highly conserved during biological evolution and are involved in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Disorders of Notch and Ras signaling pathways lead to abnormal embryonic development and malignant transformation of cells. There is a large amount of crosstalk between these two signaling pathways in Drosophila, nematode development and mammalian tumorigenesis, and they can be mutually regulated, coordinated or restricted. In the process of organism development, the two regulate each other and precisely regulate the fate of cells through signal network integration. Notch and Ras can promote cancer and can also play the role of tumor suppressor in tumorigenesis.
