光电池作为一利光电转换器件,常用来把太阳能转换成电能.笔者曾与某部杨明俊等同志合作,研制了一台火焰参数仪,其中利用硅光电池来测试爆发式火焰的长度和持续时间,收到了迅速准确和可靠的效果.这种“爆发式”的火焰通常是由一种叫作“火帽”的器件发出来的,在军事工业中用得很多.它燃烧的时间很短,大约只有1到3毫秒.因此,靠眼睛、尺子和秒表直接测量它的长度和持续时间是不行的.用照相的办法,固然可以测量它的长度,但这不仅手续繁杂,而且由于冲洗条件及读数方面的原因,造成的误差较大.我们采用硅光电池将它的长度和持续时间转换成电脉冲,因而就可以用电子仪器很快测出.
