随着我国化学、石油、人造纤维、冶金工业的发展,对耐酸设备的要求日益迫切,这方面,过去虽有不锈钢,高硅铁及衬铅、衬橡胶、衬塑料应用于耐酸材料,但由于介质酸度、温度及有机溶剂对橡胶、塑料的溶蚀所致,还不能完全满足要求。而耐酸搪瓷是具有比较普遍适应于耐腐蚀材料(除氢氟酸泵及高浓磷酸和烧碱溶液以外),而且取材于一般铸铁及硅酸盐材料。耐酸搪瓷阀门是其中的一种较普遍的配套设备。
