This study investigated the effects of SAC and rIL-2 on CVIDB cells, the function of Ig secreting cells and the function of several PIDIg-secreting cells in children with selective IgA deficiency and their relationship with serum Ig levels. The results suggest that: (1) The CVIDB cells’ influence on SAC and rIL-2 clarifies the heterogeneity and complexity of CVIDB cells. Which provides a theoretical basis for distinguishing the different stages of B cell differentiation from occurring. (2) In other types of PID studies we demonstrated that the number of Ig-secreting cells is in a balanced relationship with serum Ig levels. (3) For the first time, we established a novel method for the evaluation of Ig-producing capacity in immunodeficient and healthy human by measuring Ig-secreting cells in uncultured PBMCs.
