地震预报的研究导致了地震学和岩石力学之间更紧密的结合。随着新结果、新资料的不断出现,要对震源物理实验工作进行全面的评述是比较困难的。从纯力学的观点来看,地震应该是由一种突然的不稳定性所产生的,当突然的不稳定性发生时,应力急剧下降,弹性能由不稳定地区向周围辐射。目前研究的不稳定机制主要包括岩石的脆性破裂和已有间断面的粘滑。
The study of earthquake prediction led to a closer integration between seismology and rock mechanics. With the new results and the continuous emergence of new materials, it is difficult to conduct a comprehensive review of the hypothetical physical experiment. From a purely mechanistic point of view, the earthquake should have been caused by a sudden instability. When a sudden instability occurs, the stress drops sharply and the elastic energy can radiate from the unstable region to the surroundings. The instability mechanisms studied at present mainly include the brittle fracture of rock and the stick-slip of the existing discontinuous surface.
