From January 1, 2003, local standard varieties cannot be circulated on the market. The “Notice” put forward the basic principles for resolving the issue of local standards for proprietary Chinese medicines. The scope of the resolution is the Drug Control Department of each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government)
