For China’s growing and attractive market, the Dutch business community has taken the liberation path to vigorously develop its economic growth and commerce, especially in large-scale value-added projects, with such notable second tier cities as Chongqing, Chengdu and Qingdao. With its excellent infrastructure, the port of Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe, and Europe’s fourth largest airport, the cost of intercontinental transport is low and the water and land transport connecting the rest of Europe is well developed. With a corporate tax rate of as low as 25.5%, a highly educated workforce and multilingualism, and flexible labor practices, about 300 Chinese companies have settled in the Netherlands such as Huawei, Billion Platinum, Liugong and ICBC. The Netherlands and China both spotted and seized these business opportunities in trade and investment.
