With the changes of the times,the social trends,art aesthetics and the media are constantly updating,various fresh and advanced entertainment activities appear in life.The traditional performance and spreading channels of shadow show play as the product of Chinese farming society can no longer be adapt to current society.The development of shadow play is suffering from both the opportunities and challenges under the impact of film and television media.The application of digital media art in the shadow art can further promote the shadow art of China and make Chinas excellent traditional culture go abroad and global.the significance of this article is to combine the shadow play and digital media art in order to construct a new mode of shadow art which can not only meet peoples material and spiritual needs,but also to inherit and develop the culture of shadow show play without discarding its essence.
