  Hexose transporter is an important sugar transporter which applied to uptake and transporter hexose.After bioinformatic analysis, 67 hypothetical hexose transporters were found in Magnaporthe oryzae.Among them, the amino acid residues of MGG_06203, MGG_03620, MGG_ 15700,MGG_00040, MGG_ 13651, and MGG_05946 are highly homologous to the hexose transporters that had been identified in Neurospora crassa、 Aspergillus nidulans and Colletrotrichum graminicola.The gene expressions of M.oryzae hexose transporters are quite different from each other in the stage of appresorium development.Moreover, 25 of them were induced after 48h infection of rice, which means that these genes may involve in the pathogenetic process of the fungus.Through the method of SOE-PCR, the gene knockout mutants of both gene MGG_03620 and MGG_15700 were generated.
