  Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) is one of the most important crops in the world to provide oil and protein.The systematic characterization of gene functions in soybean is essential for molecular breeding and genetic engineering after soybean genome sequencing.To develop a high throughput forward and reverse genetic resource of soybean, we had created a mutagenesis population using 300 Gy gamma irradiation, which contained 41 157 M2 lines from 100 000 M0 seeds.
