As the hydrogen reduction of Na2CrO4 to Cr(Ⅲ)compounds is a principal step in producing Cr2O3,it is necessary to investigate the mechanism of hydrogen reduction.Using in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),the mechanism of hydrogen reduction of Na2CrO4 was deeply investigated from 30-700℃.The results showed that Na2CrO4 was directly converted to NaCrO2 and NaOH without forming other intermediates(Cr5+or Cr4+),which is unlike the conversion reaction of K2CrO4.
