Efficient delivery of therapeutic agents into target cells or organs without causing any toxic effect remains a key challenge in cancer therapy.It has been widely accepted that an ideal delivery vehicle should be target-specific, nontoxic, non-immunogenic and stable during storage.However, developing such a system remains to be the biggest challenge.Nonviral polymer carriers are considered superior to viral delivery systems, largely because of easy preparation and reduced risk of immune response.
