  Road transportation being an important mode of transportation throughout the world plays a key role in passenger and freight transportation.The economic development is directly and strongly related to the availability of transportation.The advancement in technology and competition among countries for constructing long span cable stayed bridges; have resulted in increasing the flexibility of cable stayed bridges (Soneji et al.2006).Therefore to control or reduce these vibrations in cable stayed bridges the application of Viscoelastic Dampers (VEDs) and Magnetorheological Dampers (MRDs) in controlling these vibrations has also increased manifoldly (Datta et al.2010).
