Aim The human apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease (APE), an important enzyme in the base excision repair (BER) pathway, was proved to be involved in the process of digestive system cancers.However, the results remained inconsistent.In present study, a systematically meta-analysis was performed to clarify the association between APE1 Asp148Glu polymorphisms and digestive system cancer risk.
