N,N,N-trimethyl chitosan (TMC),a partially quatemized derivative of chitosan (CT) presents good properties in relation to CT [1].The presence of methyl groups increases the mucoadhesion of TMC with mucosal membranes and increases the absorption efficacy of drugs,especially in regions such as the large and small intestine [1].Thus,the aim of this work was to prepare new hydrogel beads based on TMC/alginate complexes (TMC/ALG) containing silver and gold nanoparticles (NPs) with potential tumor-targeted combination therapy.The NPs are commonly employed for the diagnostic and therapeutic agents for cancer cells [2].
