　　Bubble bursting from whitecaps is considered to be the most effective mechanism for particulate matter to be ejected into the atmosphere from the Earths’ oceans and lakes.The material reaching the atmosphere as aerosols can consist of pure sea salt,organic matter (including persistent organic pollutants) as well as bacteria.Thus,aerosol particles can have an impact on such separate areas as the climate or the health of living organisms.
