OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the relationships of serum levels of visfatin andMMP-9 with insulin resistance (IR).in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).METHOD: Eighty patients who had coronary angiography in the first hospital of Jilin university were recruited.According to the level of homeostasis model assessment (HOMA-IR), HOMA-IR≥2.8 as the standard of IR, thirty-two patients were classified as CHD with IR, and twenty-eight as CHD without IR.Another twenty healthy individuals were selected as the control group.Height,weight, blood pressure, fasting serum glucose, insulin, triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL-C,LDL-C, serum concentrations of visfatin and MMP-9 were measured.HOMA-IR and Gensini integral were calculated as an evaluation method of insulin resistance and coronary arterys stenosis degree.
