A Study on Enhancing the Security of Theme Park Using RFID and GIS

  Recently,there have been several studies which try to enhance the efficiency of theme park using RFID.RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) is a wireless system used to identify tags.It is a core technology for the Ubiquitous Sensor Networking.These studies have suggested using RFID in the management of entrance-exit,amusement facilities,and commodity purchase in the theme park.This study have tried to enhance the security of theme park using RFID and GIS.In this study it is called the theme park operation system.The actual working of the theme park operation system is as follows.Visitors to a theme park receive a RFID card.Visitors brief personal information is put into the RFID card.And,the location of RFID is identified by the sensor networking and GIS built in the theme park.If a child is lost in the park,the child will be located by the theme park operation system and security personnel will approach the lost child instantly.This system can be used not only through the control tower but also through the kiosk built in the theme park.This kiosk system can be used for parents to identify the location of their child.Also,this system can help find the location among friends.The theme park operation system built in the control tower contains a function to sense people approaching dangerous areas.This has an effect of preventing accidents through making announcement to people approaching dangerous areas.This study,using RFID and GIS,has suggested a means to quickly respond to lost children and control a dangerous area.The results obtained in this study can be applied to theme parks and tourist resorts in the world including Disney Land in Japan and the Forbidden City in China.This will contribute to the safety of theme park so that many people can enjoy much more safely and presently.
