Capacitive deionization(CDI) represents an attractive approach for desalination and water treatment.The principle of CDI can be described as adsorption and desorption processes occurring on the electrode surface.When saline water flows over a porous electrode,ions are electrostatically adsorbed by the oppositely charged electrodes,forming an EDL at the interface.
