Flake silver powders with low apparent density of 0.4-0.8g/cm3, high diameter-to-thickness ratio (>125) and particle size of 5-10μ.m were prepared by adjusting the ball grinding process with chemical-mechanic method.Effects of reductant species and milling time on the particle size of flake silver powders were studied.Effect of the characteristics of flake silver powders on the properties of low temperature thick film paste was explored.Flake silver powders have been applied successfully to prepare the low temperature silver paste and pay important roles in reducing the silver content and improving the conductivity of the paste.
