Background Performing StentBoost Substract (SBS) needs a longer cine time, which can result in a larger radiation dose to the patient. As SBS imaging technique is widely applied in the majority of cardiac catheterization, patient radiation dose with SBS imaging arouses our attention. However, due to dose-reduction techniques can result in a very low level of radiation dose for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI),we hypothesized that, the implementation of an optimized radiation protection strategy during PCI,would result in a comparable radiation dose between them. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of SBS imaging on patient radiation dose during PCI.
