This study aimed to identify antifungal components against Penicillium italicum from poplar buds and investigate its possible mode of action.Pinocembrin, chrysin, and galangin were the antifungal components of the active fraction from poplar buds (BAF), as identified by bio-assay combined with HPLC and HPLC-MS analysis with standards.
