  Polymers from bio-based monomers are attracting a great deal of interest, not only for their potential to reduce the utilization of petrochemicals but also for increasing the added-value of agriculture products and wastes [1].Among these monomers, isosorbide is a promising cereal-based feed stock for highly thermal-resistant polymers due to its attractive rigidity, chirality and non-toxicity.Since bisphenol A is an endocrine-disrupting chemical derived from petroleum, isosorbide has been considered as an excellent candidate to replace bisphenol A to prepare highly thermal-resistant bio-based polycarbonates [2].Unfortunately, polycarbonates solely based on Is with high molecular weights and favorable mechanical performances are hard to obtain, due to the low reactivity of Is and high immobility of chain conformation.
